WHAT’S italian ice?

Granita shaved ice confection mango flavor

Italian ice is a frozen dessert made from real fruit, all natural ingredients, water, and cane sugar — similar to sorbet but slightly lighter and icier. It’s the American version of a Sicilian granita, and commonly found in cities like New York and Philadelphia.

At Bernie’s, we add homemade toasted meringue for that luxurious twist.

Jon started Bernie’s after over a decade working in Michelin-starred kitchens and private events. As a chef drawn to simple things done with exceptional care, he brings that same level of craft to playful, unexpected desserts — always with intention and style.
